Today's big ticket item was a visit to the chateau at Villandry, famous for it's garden. We avoid visiting the inside(l'interieur) of the chateau and concentrate on the outside(l'exterieur) bit. You have to hand it to the French, when they want to build a veggie patch they don't muck around.

Following lunch we indulge ourselves with a picnic(le picanique) on the banks of the (Sonny and) Cher river. Claire and Eric indulge in a spot of skinny dipping(la swimming en nude)
apres dejeuner and then back home for some alfresco(en plein air) drinks outside our apartment
and then a good dose of Wiener Schnitzel(escalopes de veau), whisky and wine for dinner.
